In addition to managing wealth, they are also huge forces of the Tibetan Protectors. They are also responsible for all utilitarian undertakings that save all living beings. Zangbalas did not have five appearances at the beginning, but deities with the attributes of Gods of Wealth; when Tibetan Buddhism was gradually promoted, five types of yellow, white, black, green, and red skin were developed according to different practice needs, that respect different forms of Zangbala, and cooperate with the concept of five Buddhas to form the five gods of wealth. Although there are five gods, the attributes of the god of wealth are still the same.

 

 

And these five gods of wealth have different body shapes and skin colors, and different items under management.

 

E.g.:

 

The yellow god of wealth is in charge of wealth, which is the representative of accumulating merit and increasing wisdom;

 

The red god of wealth is in charge of love, which is the symbol of gathering noble aides and fulfilling wishes;

 

The white god of wealth is in charge of wisdom, which is the representative of calming disasters and increasing wealth;

 

The black god of wealth is in charge of authority, which is the symbol of eliminating grievances and subduing demons;

 

The green god of wealth is in charge of health, which is the representative of accomplishing everything and increasing wealth. Tibetans also use these five colors as their 'Feng Shui' (the Flow of Energy) auspicious positions.

 

 

Yellow God of Wealth (two top yellow "agate" round beads, one of the seven treasures of Tibetan Buddhism, as the yellow God of Wealth.)

 

Yellow God of Wealth: The Tibetan name "Zang La Sebo" is the protector of Esoteric (Vajrayana) Buddhism. Because his skin is yellow, he is called Yellow God of Wealth. Yellow God of Wealth has one face, two arms, a big belly and a small body. He has strong hands. He holds the 'Mani Orb' in his right hand, and his left hand gently grasps the jewel-spitting rat. Yellow God of Wealth was once a bodhisattva. White God of Wealth (the white seven eyes on the Tibetan Buddhism "Tibet Seven-eyed Archaic Dzi Bead", two top "white clam", one of the seven treasures of Tibetan Buddhism, and two top "white silver", one of the seven treasures of Tibetan Buddhism, made "big white umbrella-cover mantra" umbrella-cover rings, as the white God of Wealth.)

 

White God of Wealth: Tibetan name "Zangha Gabo", also known as "The King of White Treasure", his body color is like snow, with a head and two arms, three round eyes, and he is kind, with orange-red hair, holding a treasure stick in his right hand in the void, catching the treasure-spitting mouse with his left hand, holding a three-pronged rod in his left arm, wearing a treasure crown on head, a ribbon on body, and a silk skirt, sitting on the back of a green dragon. He can gather all the merits of the God of Wealth and save the sufferings of all living beings in hunger. He is the merciful incarnation of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. He is praised as "Bulu Galbo" in Tibetan. Because his mount is a dragon, he is also called "Bulu King Kong mounting on a dragon". He can quell disasters and increase wealth. Metal is white, so the White God of Wealth leads the West.

Red God of Wealth: Tibetan name "Zhanbalamabo", his skin is red, so he is called Red God of Wealth. He has one face, two arms, three eyes, decorated with various treasures, and wears a crown of five Buddhas on head. So he is called the red God of Wealth. He is in charge of love, gathering noble aides, and fulfilling wishes. He is an incomparable wealth god in the Sakya school of Tantra. He is able to gather people, wealth, foods and other merits freely and fully. If you ask him for the wealth in the human world, you can be satisfied. Fire is red, and the Red God of Wealth leads the south.

 

 

Black God of Wealth (Eight black "burnt-after-death-relic-body-beads" left behind by the Buddhas and the eminent monks with great virtues, and the black color on the "Tibet Seven-eyed Archaic Dzi Bead", as the black God of Wealth.)

 

Black God of Wealth: The Tibetan name "Zang Hanabo", he is the Oriental Vajra Immovable Buddha among the Five Buddhas, with red hair and black skin, three eyes widely opened. He can surrender and eliminate grievances and demon enemies, get rid of all bad luck entanglements, and make all good wishes come to perfection without hindrance. He is the Vajra Immovable Buddha of the Eastern Buddhas, and the Black God of Wealth is the God of Wealth among the five-colored Gods of Wealth who gives immediate results, so people also call him the "King of Wealth". Water is black, so the Black God of Wealth leads the north.

 

 

Green God of Wealth (two top green "malachite" round beads, one of the seven treasures of Tibetan Buddhism, as the green God of Wealth.)

 

Green God of Wealth: Tibetan name "Zhan Balabo", his skin color is green, so he is called Green God of Wealth. He has one head, two arms and three eyes, wears a treasure crown of five Buddhas on his head, and a silk skirt with colored ribbons. He is riding a green god's horse with his right foot stretched out and standing on the lotus throne. He is the incarnation of the Immovable Buddha in the East. He was instructed by Buddha Shakyamuni to turn the "Dafa Wheel" for all poor sentient beings. The Green God of Wealth is an immeasurable bright Buddha in the West. He was incarnated in order to benefit all living beings from poverty. Because his skin color is green, he is called the Green God of Wealth. The green God of Wealth is a God of Wealth and Dharma Protector who is very interested in business interests. Tree is green, so the Green God of Wealth leads the East.

西藏七眼老天珠「一整套連寶石配件」中有八個「舍利子」,舍利子是佛陀和高僧大德們涅槃 (圓寂、高僧去世) 後所留下的,幾乎是屬於「無價之寶」。

 

為何「西藏七眼老天珠」上面配戴有佛陀和高僧大德們涅槃 (圓寂、高僧去世) 後所留下的「八個舍利子」,是因為當年佛祖釋迦牟尼涅槃後,其舍利子是分給了「八個貴族」。

 

 

藏傳佛教的「五路財神」即「五色財神」:黃財神,白財神、紅財神、黑財神、綠財神。

 

藏傳佛教之「五姓財神 (黃、白、紅、黑、綠)

 

「五姓財神」(藏巴拉) 是西藏人所供奉的財神,專門掌管天庫財富之神,除了掌管財富之外,也是藏密護法一支龐大力量,還負責掌管,濟度眾生所有功利事業。藏巴拉並非一開始就有五尊形相,而是一個具有財神屬性的神祇;當藏傳佛教逐漸弘揚起來以後,依不同修持需要才發展出黃、白、黑、綠、紅膚等五尊不同形相的藏巴拉,並配合五方佛的概念而形成五姓財神,雖有五尊神祇,但財神屬性仍是相同的。

 

而這五位財神除了身色不同,掌管的項目不同,

 

例如:

 

黃財神主掌財富,是積聚福德,增長智慧的代表;

 

紅財神主掌愛情,是招聚貴人,圓滿祈願的象徵;

 

白財神主掌智慧,是平息災難,增添財富代表;

 

黑財神主管權威,是消除怨敵,降伏魔敵的象徵;

 

綠財神主管健康,是成就事事,增展財運的代表之外,藏人並以這五方顏色作為風水吉位。

 

 

黃財神 (兩個藏傳佛教七寶之一的頂級黃色「瑪瑙」圓珠黃財神)

 

黃財神:藏名「藏拉色波」,是密教之護法神只,因為他膚色為黃色,故稱為黃財神。黃財神一面二臂,肚大身小,雙手有力,右手持摩尼寶珠,左手輕抓口吐珠寶的吐寶鼠。黃財神曾經是位菩薩,後來釋迦牟尼如來囑黃財神皈依佛法,助益一切貧苦眾生,救度一切眾生於貧困。黃色為土,所以黃財神最宜中原。

 

 

白財神 (藏傳佛教「西藏七眼老天珠」上之白色七眼及兩個藏傳佛教七寶之一的「白色硨磲」與兩個藏傳佛教七寶之一的頂級白色「大白傘蓋心咒」「白銀」套環白財神)

 

白財神:藏名「臧哈嘎玻」,又名「白寶藏王」,他身色如雪,一頭二臂,三圓目,和悅慈祥,桔紅色綣發,右手持寶棒揚於虛空,左手捉吐寶鼠,左挾三叉杖,頭戴寶冠,身披彩帶,天衣綢裙,坐在碧龍背上。他能匯聚一切財神之功德,能救度飢餓中的眾生之苦。是觀世音菩薩的慈悲化身,藏語贊布祿嘎爾布,因為他的坐騎是龍,所以又稱騎龍布祿金剛。他能平息災難,增添財富 。白色為金,所以白財神主西方。

 

 

紅財神 (一個藏傳佛教七寶之一的「紅色珊瑚」紅財神)

 

紅財神:藏名「占巴拉瑪波」,它的色膚是紅色,所以被叫做紅財神,他一面二臂,三隻眼睛,以各種寶物為飾,頭戴五佛冠。所以叫做紅財神。他是掌管愛情,招聚貴人,圓滿祈願,是薩迦派密法中的一位功德無比的財神,能招聚人,財,食等諸受用自在富饒之功德。如果向他求世間財富,亦可滿足。紅色為火,紅財神主南方。

 

 

黑財神 (八個佛陀和高僧大德們涅槃後所留下的黑色「舍利子」與藏傳佛教「西藏七眼老天珠」上之黑色黑財神)

 

黑財神:藏名「臧哈納玻」,是五方佛裡面的東方金剛不動佛,紅髮黑膚,三目圓睜。他能降伏消除怨敵、魔敵 ,能夠驅除所有惡運糾纏,並使一切善願都能心想事成圓滿無礙。他是東方佛裡的金剛不動佛,黑財神是五色財神中施財立即見效的財神,所以人們也稱他為財神王。黑色為水,所以黑財神主北方。

 

 

綠財神 (兩個藏傳佛教七寶之一的「綠色孔雀石」圓珠綠財神)

 

綠財神:藏名「占巴拉沃波」,膚色是綠色,故稱為綠財神。他一頭二臂三目,頭戴五佛寶冠,上披彩帶天衣綢裙,騎著綠色的神馬右腳伸做腳曲,立於寶座蓮花上。是東方不動佛之化身,他受釋迦牟尼佛囑咐,為一切貧苦眾生轉大法輪。綠財神是西方無量光明佛,為了利益眾生脫離窮苦而化現的,因膚色是綠色,故稱為綠財神,綠財神是一位非常利益事業的財神與護法神。綠色為木,所以綠財神主東方。

文壁(1470年-1559年),字徵明,號衡山居士,中國明代畫家,與唐寅、沈周、仇英合稱為「明四家」;並與唐寅、祝允明、徐禎卿並稱「吳中四才子」。晚年與老師沈周並駕齊驅,繼沈周之後成為吳派領袖。

李燦,字明文,號珠園,清雍正元年(1723)生於武平縣城北寨背窩里(今平川鎮紅東村),乾隆年間(17361820)著名畫家。能詩善畫,又擅工書法。他的畫工力雄厚,筆法蒼勁,造詣很深。他工山水、花鳥,尤其擅長人物畫,所畫鬚眉曆曆可數,極爲生動細致,形態逼真。有《珠圓集》、《醉翁集》、《八仙過海》等名作傳世。李燦的作品大都散失無存。所著有《珠園集》亦湮沒無聞,唯舊志中輯其題畫詩數首,可略窺一斑。畫作中建國前夕仍存民間的有《漁翁圖》、《漁樵問答圖》、《醉翁亭》、《八仙過海》、《伯樂相馬圖》、《鵝》、《三笑圖》、《靜聽佳音》、《九獅圖》等。其中《伯樂相馬圖》等三幅被廣東軍閥嚴應魚倚勢豪奪據爲已有,其餘亦大都散失。

 

伊秉绶(1754-1815),字祖似,号墨卿,晚号默庵,清代书法家,福建汀州府宁化县人,故人又称“伊汀州”。乾隆四十四年举人,乾隆五十四年进士,历任刑部主事,后擢员外郎。嘉庆四年任惠州知府,因与其直属长官、两广总督吉庆发生争执,被谪戍军台,昭雪后又升为扬州知府,1802年(嘉庆七年),伊秉绶54岁时,因父病死,去官奉棺回乡,扬州数万市民洒泪送别。62岁病逝后,扬州人为仰慕其遗德,在当地“三贤祠”(祀欧阳修、苏轼、王士祯三人之祠)中并祀伊秉绶,改称“四贤祠”。在任期间,以“廉吏善政”著称。伊秉绶喜绘画、治印,亦有诗集传世。工书,尤精篆隶,精秀古媚。其书超绝古格,使清季书法,放一异彩。隶书尤放纵飘逸,自成高古博大气象,与邓石如并称大家。

 

畫心題識「擬眠琴居士筆法」之「眠琴居士(人物不詳)」出現于福州市博物馆之馆藏精品文物「寿山白芙蓉博古纽方章」(作者:林皋,字鹤田,一字鹤颠,清代福建莆田人)。福州市博物馆珍藏林皋所治印章一方,印章为长方形,高3.8厘米,宽厚皆2厘米,以优质白芙蓉雕就,石质白嫩如脂,温润匀净,绵密细腻。顶部琢刻为玉璧形博古纽,大气古朴,儒雅方正。纽厚0.4厘米,纽面阳刻卷云纹及谷纹为饰,两种纹饰相间,布局和谐微妙,刻工细腻小巧,在寿山石雕刻中属西门派技法。底部朱文篆刻“眠琴居士”四字,字体苍劲古朴,章法布局得体,刀法稳健流畅,有浑然天成之感。另有边款分居石章两面,每面各三列,行楷阴刻回文诗《春花》一首:溪花绕岸绿河西,岸绿河西影柳堤,堤柳影西河绿岸,西河绿岸绕花溪。落款:“康熙丙辰春日 林鹤田泐”。

 

引首題識「事矣而王莽皆出于所備之外,唐太宗聞武氏之殺其子。」引自【古文觀止】明朝方孝孺(1357-1402)作《深慮論》:慮天下者,常圖其所難,而忽其所易;備其所可畏,而遺其所不疑。然而禍常發於所忽之中,而亂常起於不足疑之事。豈其慮之未周與?蓋慮之所能及者,人事之宜然;而出於智力之所不及者,天道也。當秦之世,而滅六諸侯,一天下;而其心以為周之亡,在乎諸侯之強耳。變封建而為郡縣,方以為兵革可不復用,天子之位可以世守;而不知漢帝起隴畝之匹夫,而卒亡秦之社稷。漢懲秦之孤立,於是大建庶孽而為諸侯,以為同姓之親,可以相繼而無變;而七國萌篡弒之謀。武宣以後,稍剖析之而分其勢,以為無事矣;而王莽卒移漢祚(音:做)。光武之懲哀平,魏之懲漢,晉之懲魏,各懲其所由亡而為之備;而其亡也,皆出其所備之外。

 

唐太宗聞武氏之殺其子孫,求人於疑似之際而除之;而武氏日侍其左右而不悟。宋太祖見五代方鎮之足以制其君,盡釋其兵權,使力弱而易制;而不知子孫卒因於夷狄。此其人皆有出人之智,負蓋世之才,其於治亂存亡之幾,思之詳而備之審矣;慮切於此,而禍興於彼,終至於亂亡者,何哉?蓋智可以謀人,而不可以謀天。良醫之子,多死於病;良巫之子,多死於鬼;彼豈工於活人而拙於活己之子哉?乃工於謀人而拙於謀天也。古之聖人,知天下後世之變,非智慮之所能周,非法術之所能制;不敢肆其私謀詭計,而惟積至誠、用大德,以結乎天心;使天眷其德,若慈母之保赤子而不忍釋。故其子孫,雖有至愚不肖者足以亡國,而天卒不忍遽亡之,此慮之遠者也。夫苟不能自結於天,而欲以區區之智,籠絡當世之務,而必後世之無危亡,此理之所必無者也,而豈天道哉?

 

方孝孺(1357-1402年),浙江寧海人,明代大臣、著名學者、文學家、散文家、思想家,字希直,一字希古,號遜志,曾以「遜志」名其書齋,蜀獻王替他改為「正學」,因此世稱「正學先生」。福王時追諡文正。在「靖難之役」期間,拒絕為篡位的燕王朱棣草擬即位詔書,剛直不阿,孤忠赴難,不屈而亡。
